This workshop is unlike anything traditionally available through employability programmes. Through careful planning and collaboration, Pathway to Work and Scenegraph have been developing ways to ensure the technology is meaningful, practical, and directly linked to the challenges and opportunities autistic adults may encounter on their employment journey.

Testing workplace skills avatars
Over the coming weeks, participants will play a key role in shaping the project by creating their own scenarios and testing the avatars in real-world employment and workplace situations. The avatars can provide a valuable tool for practising interviews, workplace conversations, problem-solving, and other situations that can often feel daunting when entering employment for the first time.

Building confidence is at the heart of our Pathway to Work programme, and the use of avatar technology offers an exciting new way to help participants develop self-belief, independence, and workplace readiness. By giving individuals the opportunity to rehearse and refine their skills in a supportive setting, the platform has the potential to become a powerful aid in the transition into employment.

Scenegraph Studios, an Autism Together Ambassador, has been instrumental in bringing this innovative opportunity to our participants. Partnerships such as this enables our Pathway to Work programme to continue evolving and providing high-quality, creative experiences that help autistic adults achieve their employment goals and realise their full potential.
