Become a Friend of the Farm

Help care for the animals at Autism Together Farm

Did you know that Autism Together has its own farm, where staff and the people we support look after more than 80 animals every day?

Set within 19 acres at our Raby site, the farm is home to alpacas, pigs, goats, chickens, ducks and guinea pigs It plays an important role in daily life, providing meaningful activities that built skills, confidence and wellbeing. Many of our animals have been given a home here when their previous owners could no longer look after them. Each one has been named by the people we support.

Time spent on the farm gives the people we support the opportunity to:
  • Enjoy fresh air and physical activities
  • Task part in a range of practical tasks
  • Spend time with animals in a calm, therapeutic setting
  • Build confidence and develop new skills
  • Work towards recognised qualifications
  • Experience a safe and structured outdoor environment

How your donation is used

The farm is used every day by people attending our services, as well as those living on our Raby site. Your contribution helps ensure this valued space continues to thrive.

Donations help cover essential costs such as:

  • Animal feed (around £10,000 per year)
  • Routine care (around £600 per year)
  • Emergency treatment when needed
  • Repairs to fencing, shelters and huts
  • Equipment and materials to maintain the grounds

  • A welcome newsletter
