Become a Friend of the Farm at Autism Together...

By sponsoring an animal you can help support Autism Together Farm and the vital service it offers to the autistic people we support - plus you can even meet your animal!

Did you know that Autism Together has its own farm where staff, and the people we support, care for over 80 animals every day?

Nestled in 19-acres of our Raby site, our alpacas, pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, and guinea pigs keep everyone busy and entertained. Autism Together Farm is a major part of our day services at Raby Gardens and offers a range of therapeutic and skill-enhancing activities for the people we support. Many of our farm animals were donated to us, sometimes due to people not being able to care for them any longer or because they were getting old. All of them are named by the people we support.

You can sponsor one of our animals from as little as £20 a year! By sponsoring an animal, 100% of your annual fee goes directly towards our farm and animal care, for things such as food, shelter, and vet bills.

Chickens

Our chickens are free to roam at Raby Farm, and often get into mischief!

Turkeys

One of the newer additions to the farm in 2024, our turkeys are very friendly.

Ducks

We've got a verity of friendly ducks on the farm, all with pretty plumage.

Guinea Pigs

Guinea pigs make great therapy animals for people we support to pet.

Kunekune Pigs

These unique pigs just love living down at Raby Farm in their very own mud pen.

Goats

Our pygmy goats are a big hit at the farm, and love to jump on on things.

Sheep

With the new additions of Snowy and Bear, we've now got a real flock at the farm!

Alpacas

Alpacas are a popular animal with people we support who walk them.

The people we support at the farm gain skills and confidence, through time spent with our animals...

• Exercise and fresh air in the outdoors promotes a healthy lifestyle.

• There's a range of different tasks for everyone to enjoy and get involved in.

• Petting and feeding animals can be very therapeutic for many autistic people.

• Most individuals gain huge amounts of new skills and confidence from working at our farm.

• The people we support can also gain external qualifications through their work on the farm.

• The farm offers a safe and secure environment for people of all needs. It's a perfect space to explore without the dangers of roads, or the stress of busy environments.

How will your donation help our farm?

Autism Together Farm is used daily by people who attend our day services, and by the people we support who live on our Raby site.

Once a year, our Children and Family Service holds a Fun Day at the farm, where families with autistic children can come together and enjoy an enjoyable day out, knowing that their children are in a safe environment where they can feel free to express and enjoy themselves. It is a space where friendships and support networks can be formed.

The farm is hugely important to our organisation and especially to the people we support and you can help to make sure that continues into the future. By sponsoring an animal you can help directly with the day-to-day needs of the farm, such as:

By sponsoring one of our farm animals, you’re helping to maintain this amazing service for the people we support, safe in the knowledge that your money is going directly to support the work of Autism Together Farm.
