Sponsor a Sheep

Sheep have been a domesticated farm animal for thousands of years. Prized for their wool, sheep come in a variety of heights and weights, depending on their breed. They are actually closely related to goats, and are more intelligent than you might think, having intelligence just below that of pigs. Sheep can also be very friendly and enjoy human companionship, especially if they have been reared by humans. We have three sheep on our farm – Snowy, a Ryeland sheep; Bear, a breed from the Netherlands called a Zwartbles; and Rupert, a black-nosed Dartmoor cross. Rupert is the most friendly and is like a big woolly dog.
