Looking back at this year's Wirral Coastal Walk

We had an incredible day at the start of June, as friends, colleagues, and supporters of Autism Together took on the challenge of the Wirral Coastal Walk.

Firstly, we’d like to say a massive thank you and congratulations to everyone who took part. It was amazing to see so many people come together, get walking, and make a difference in support of our charity.

We had a base at the starting point in New Brighton, ready to give out Autism Together t-shirts to our proud walkers. And, of course, we were waiting at the finish line to cheer our fantastic walkers home – welcoming them with a free donut!

What is the Wirral Coastal Walk?
The walk itself is a 20km trip around the Wirral coastline from New Brighton’s Floral Pavilion to Thurstaston Country Park. Along the way it takes in much of the delightful coastal scenery that the Wirral Peninsular is famous for.

To make it more accessible to different ages and abilities, there are optional finishing points at 6k (Leasowe Common) and 12k (Kings Gap). The route itself is wheelchair accessible and dogs can come too, if they stay on a lead.

Interested in taking past in 2027?
The details of next year’s event have already been finalised and people are already signing up for the 2027 walk!

The event will be taking place on Sunday, June 27th, 2027, with the starting time being between 8.30 and 10.30am at the usual starting point of New Brighton’s Floral Pavilion.

In 2026 over 2,300 walkers took part raising much needed funds for their chosen charities and good causes. Will you be part of beating that amazing number, next year?

Thank you to everyone who walked in 2026
We would like to finish off by saying thank you, once again, to all our fundraisers and everyone who donated in support of them, for this year’s walk. You’re all amazing!
