What to know about our Residential services?

Autism Together offers registered residential care in a wide variety of different types of housing, both in rural and residential locations situated across Wirral and West Cheshire.

These range in size from two-person services through to larger homes to offer people the care package which is right for them.

Our Residential services for autistic adults provide accommodation and care, all year round, for people who require long-term continuity and consistency in their personal support.

Each person living in one of our Residential properties receives person-centred support and, where possible, is encouraged to increase their independence. This might be at meal times, through healthy lifestyles, personal hygiene, or community participation.

Every individual within our Rresidential service is also assured of support to help them fulfil their potential as a member of the community.

Our support staff working within our autistic adult Residential services help each person they support to make choices about what they might like to do with their day. While they may decide to enjoy activities in the home or to attend our Day Services, they will also have the option of going out and about in their neighbourhood and beyond.

This might include making use of shops and services, visiting local places of interest, or enjoying journeys by train to further afield. It is important that individuals have the option to access their communities and enjoy their amenities.

It’s important that everybody within our Residential service enjoys a rewarding and fulfilling life, with the opportunity to make positive choices through activities and interests, healthy lifestyles and emotional support.

All our Residential properties are registered with, and inspected by, the Care Quality Commission. Our fully-trained staff working with the properties ensure dignity and respect for each person we support.
