Our support worker success stories

Support work is varied and fulfilling, and can also be the start of a long career in the social care or charity sector. Some staff use it as a springboard into social work or nursing, while others advance to managerial roles. Many of Autism Together’s current senior managers and staff started out as support workers, and have used the hands-on knowledge and experience they gained to help shape the direction of our charity…

Regional Head of Operations, Siobhan started her career as a Relief Support Worker in 1987.

Registered Manager Phil began working for our organisation as a Support Worker back in 1999.

Angie Kemp

Now our Director of Operations, Angie started in our charity as a Support Worker in 2003.

Michelle Seddon (Regional Head of Operations), along with Callum Logan, Julie Logan, Trudie Konrad and Carl Kipling (all Registered Managers) started their careers as Support Workers with Autism Together. Other success stories include Kevin Mulligan (Day Services Area Manager) and Sarah Nelson (Head of Day Services) who also began as Support Workers within the organisation.
