Founded in 1968 by a local group of parents, Autism Together has a deep connection to the local community that still exists to this day. Now based in our head office in Bromborough, we deliver person-centred care services that empower autistic adults to lead brighter futures.
Autism Together is proud to be a historic care provider for the Wirral community, with residential, supported living and day services across the region including in Birkenhead, Bromborough, Prenton, Raby and more.
We were formed when a group of parents established The Wirral Society for Autistic Children, which became Wirral Autistic Society, and later Autism Together.
Our person-centred, service-led approach to care empowers autistic individuals to collaborate in designing their own developmental care plan which promotes independence and confidence.
Wirral is a remarkable place, steeped in history and framed by the River Mersey and the River Dee, with sweeping coastlines and green countryside at its heart. It’s a warm, welcoming region where people can settle in, explore, and embrace new opportunities.
Wirral isn’t just our location, it’s part of who we are. From supported homes in Bromborough to creative services at our cafe in Ellesmere Port, we’re embedded in the local community. Families in Liverpool, Chester and the wider North West also come to Wirral for access to autism support.
