Caring for autistic people in Wirral for over 50 years

We're proud to be the leading care provider for autistic people in the North West
At Autism Together, we understand exactly how to support autistic people to maximise their life opportunities. We offer a wide range of specialist support services, from our Day Services, Living Services and Pathway to Work support.

Who we are

Since 1968, Autism Together has been providing support to autistic people, offering a wide range of residential services, supported living, day services and other support from our base in Bromborough, Wirral, in the UK.

We were formed when a group of parents established The Wirral Society for Autistic Children, which became Wirral Autistic Society, and later Autism Together.

Our Mission

To help people with autism to develop their full potential, and to educate and develop their community around them.

Our Ethos

Autism affects everyone differently, so we work with each individual to help them overcome the difficulties the condition presents them with, helping them to lead a more active, creative, and fulfilling life.

As a specialist provider of autism-specific support, our organisation recognises that each person has a right to live their life as they choose. In recognising this right, we create a shared understanding of each person’s strengths and needs, and ensure each person’s preferred way of communicating these is respected and implemented by all our staff.

Our Values

Positive Communication
Be Person-Centred
Promote Learning
Be Respectful
Community Connection

Award-Winning Care Provider for Autism

We’re proud to be an award-winning service provider with nationally recognised awards.

Autism Together as an organisation has been shortlisted in the Charity of the Year category. Also shortlisted, our Director of People and Culture Helen Bilton is nominated for  Supporting Leader of the Year.

Our Learning Culture Team is nominated for Partnership for Co-Produced Training Award, and our Gallagher House Podcast Group by the people we support is nominated for The People’s Award.

Winner of Care Home Employer in the North West region and finalists for national competition in the 2025 awards.

As the people we support gain new skills, interests and experiences, so our support approaches focus on developing person-centred, lifelong learning.

Our autism strategies help people develop skills by taking into account their communication needs, thinking patterns, social understanding and sensory differences.
