People we support gain ASDAN awards in baking

Recently, we had a fantastic little awards presentation at our Raby Day Services, as 10 of the people we support had their achievements in baking recognised with an ASDAN award.

ASDANs are externally accredited awards that recognise personal progress and achievement. People we support from across our Day Services spend time working towards gaining these important awards, learning valuable life skills along the way.

This batch of awards was given out by Activity Manager Owain Roberts, who said:

“The Baking Group here at Raby provides the people we support with a fun and tasty activity – but it’s so much more than that. It offers a valuable opportunity to develop transferable life skills that are key to increasing independence – such as working as a team, developing fine motor skills, and making choices.

“Everyone at Raby is immensely proud of all the learners, and we look forward to supporting them as they build on this success. Well done, everyone!”
