Following a recent strategic review of the Children and Family Service within Autism Together, we have made some important internal changes to our service delivery. The main aim of these revisions is to ensure that our offer remains as flexible as possible and easy for families to access. Those accessing the service should not notice any major differences.
The charity has made a commitment to fund ongoing advice-giving services for families with children and young people, and the ongoing delivery of children’s activity clubs, funded through its own charitable resources.
By making this commitment, we are able to respond flexibly to the needs of the Wirral community and continue to deliver our much-loved children’s activity clubs, provide ongoing support for families through monthly coffee mornings, hold ‘stay-and-play’ Rainbow sessions at Children’s Centres across Wirral, and offer free to attend 2-hour workshops around the likes of sensory differences, behaviour support, and more.
We will also continue to offer advice, support, and signposting to families of autistic children across the borough.
From April 2025, our Rainbow Groups for children under five-years-old will be at: Bromborough Children’s Centre, Mondays 1.30pm – 2.30pm; Seacombe Family Hub, Tuesdays 10am – 11am; Castleway Primary School, Tuesdays 1.30pm – 2.30pm; Brassey Gardens Family Hub, Fridays 9.30am – 11am.
Children’s Activity Clubs will be run on Saturdays from our services across Bromborough, check our website for details. Our website and social media will also contain details and updates about our upcoming workshops and coffee mornings.
